The South Carolina Association of Veterinarians stands up for animals.

We support putting safeguards in place to protect pets and their owners from needless pain and suffering.

Senate Bill 687, also known as the Animal Welfare Bill, is legislation derived from consultations with representatives from BOTH animal shelters and pet care professionals across SC.

We want to maintain the longstanding relationships between animal shelters and veterinarians. This bill is an effort to improve animal shelters that many working families in SC rely on for pet care.
